What the Children Do
We had a fantastic trip last week at Ufton Court. We were greeted by two Viking guides who took us through several workshops, teaching us the ways of the Vikings! We gave ourselves Viking names that would strike fear into the hearts of our enemies and practised our intimidating roars! It was a great day and really helped immerse the children in our History learning.
We had to endure a test to see if we could become warriors or shieldmaidens - holding up a sword for two days (10 seconds).
We voyaged to far-off lands and raided them for their precious resources.
We trained for battle! Remember, fear is your best weapon so make yourself as scary as possible to deter your enemies.
And finally, we unwound with some traditional Viking games.
